Introducing Kajan Padraig

Today was an extremely busy, but exciting day for Show & Tell that wrapped up with a visit to the showroom of one of our new brands Kajan Padraig. Cake and Patrick were kind enough to let us pull some looks for the ExPosure Winetasting & Fashion Show that we are styling next week. While we were there we got a sneak peek at the amazing Fall 2012 collection.

Kajan Padraig's current collection collection will be available through Show & Tell's online store at the end of next week.

Inside MAGIC TRADESHOW: Part 1

We attended our first ever MAGIC Tradeshow earlier this week and boy was that a great experience. We connected with so many great brands and individuals and I am really excited for what is in store for Show & Tell customers. There was a plethora of amazing fashion on display and inspiration at every turn.

On the last day we walked Street and Slate and came across this amazing display of artwork on skateboard decks. The display was a collaboration between We Love Creativity, Sk8ology, and DJhere productions for the second annual Eighth Ply art show. Several San Diego artist decorated the skateboard decks to sell with a portion of the proceeds going to Now That You Know, which helps girls in Meru, Kenya stay in school.

There were several amazing designs, but my personal fave is the middle one in the picture above with the neon diamond pattern. I love neon and you know what they say... Diamonds are a girl's best friend!

3 Reasons to Support Local Small Business

1. It is an Investment in the Community- For every $100 spent at local small businesses, $68 returns to the community (Small Business Administration)

2. Environmental Impact is Reduced-Local businesses make more local purchases requiring less need for transportation which mean decreased carbon emissions.

3. Small Businesses Foster Local Economic Growth-Small businesses help to create local jobs and contribute to the growth of other small businesses through the purchase of goods and services.

Now that you know just how important small businesses are show your support for show and tell on Indiegogo

A Picture of Pride

We spent most of last weekend at PRIDE events in San Francisco and Oakland spreading the word about show and tell grassroots style. It was a blast and the overwhelmingly positive response to what we are trying to do was really gratifying. It is just the type of positive energy that is going to keep us moving forward as we work on building this new business.

Progress

When starting a business you have to remember to celebrate the little things along the way so that you don't get bogged down in how much there still is to do.

Here are three things we are celebrating today:

1) Our trip to LA Market
Photos via GroceriesApparel.com

In LA we touched base again with some of our new favorite people like John from Raleigh Denim and Karri from Altitude Promotions and we were also introduced to some great new brands. Groceries Apparel, one of our faves, is an LA based and produced knitwear brand that uses organic, chemical free, and  renewably sourced textiles and makes some amazing clothes to boot.

2) Our Rainbow Logo in honor of San Francisco Pride

Pride in San Francisco is such an amazing event whether you identify as LGBTQIA or not. We are going to be there this year promoting our brand and gathering great stories from people in the community that show their true colors and are not afraid to tell the world who they are. If you are interested in getting one of our limited edition SF Pride 2011 tees with the rainbow logo drop us a line at showandtell2011@gmail.com.

3) Our new website:

Our webpage is finally up and is the place to be to get updates on the latest and greatest show and tell news. We will be adding more elements to the site as we get closer to our grand opening and E-commerce will be coming soon.  Add it to your favorites to stay in the loop!
